Mirroring the popular EdCamp style of professional development, an UnConference is a lightly organized, peer-led, participant-driven event in which attendees propose and facilitate sessions. In other words, you decide what we discuss! Focusing on programmatic, physical, and digital accessibility, this UnConference will involve free-flowing discussions, not presentations of one person’s work or point of view. All are welcome to attend and share their expertise.
This event builds on the success of the earlier UnConferences held since 2018 and welcomes accessibility professionals from K-12, higher ed institutions, state agencies, and others interested in the world of accessibility.
Join your colleagues from across the Commonwealth to share ideas, challenges, and solutions as we work towards a more inclusive and accessible experience for all. We hope you will join and be ready to participate!
We will start promptly at 9:00 and end around 4:30. All sessions will be held at the UVA Student Health & Wellness Center, 550 Brandon Avenue, on the Grounds of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.

Registration includes conference sessions, plus a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

Registration Cancellation Information: Cancellation must be received in writing to wmconf@wm.edu. Cancellations received prior to May 15 are subject to a $35 administrative fee. No refunds will be offered after May 15, 2024 and full payment will be due.
Parking for the UnConference:
We were able to procure parking on two lots very close to the UnConference site: one is in the Student Health & Wellness building on Parking Level P1, the other is next door in the Bond Residence Hall on Parking Level B2. It is essential that you park on only those levels! Any other level you could potentially get ticketed.
Please use this address for navigation: 550 Brandon Avenue., Charlottesville, VA.
To park in the building: Parking is in the building but accessed from around back. Continue past the building, the road will curve around to the left. Turn left at the stop sign, and park on Level P1. Use the elevator to come to Level 1 and you’ll see the check in area in the main lobby.
To park in the overflow lot: Use the same address for navigation. Continue past the building and veer left to stay on the road. Turn right at your first opportunity to go to go around back of the residence hall building; ignore the first parking level you may see, and instead go all the way around the building to Level B2. Follow the signage and chalk arrows to get back to the check in.
