The ICA Commission for Education, Maps and Internet and Ubiquitous
are organizing a joint meeting prior to the ICC 2017 meeting.
Location: The campus of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA USA
Date: Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1, 2017
Day 1 Map Coding Event
Presenters will lead map coding sessions. Participants can bring a laptop and work through coding problems with the presenters.
Day 2 Research Presentations
Presentation topics will center on the fields of Cartographic Education, Web Cartography, Internet Mapping, and Ubiquitous Mapping. We encourage individuals to present on their latest research, both completed and in progress. Students and Early Career Faculty and Professional are encouraged to present their work.
Who can attend?
Any professional, government, academic or hobbyist is welcome. You are also welcome to submit presentations to both, the Map Coding Event and Research/Scholastic programs.
How to be a Presenter?
To submit please complete the follow form Presentation Submission Form. Submitted presentation will be reviewed as they are submitted.
The last day to submit will be on April 30th 2017
Will there be Social/Cultural Activities?
Welcoming Reception: June 29th, 2017 at 7:00pm. Location to be announced.
All other social activities are optional to provide flexibility for arriving and departing Williamsburg.
Cost of these events are not included
Maps Food and Drinks: June 30th, 2017 at 7:00pm Location to be announced.
Virginia Tidewater Dining: July 1st, 2017 at 7:00pm Location to be announced.
Walking Tour of Colonial Williamsburg morning of July 2nd, 2017 time and location to be announced.
