We have a few exciting updates to share about LabMan!

Please note that LabMan 2020 has been rescheduled to May 26-28, 2021.  

We decided to reschedule LabMan for May 26th, 27th, and 28th 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts on daily life for all of us. We did not make this decision without careful consideration of many elements of hosting the conference, however, we feel the right thing to do is reschedule for May 2021 to ensure the safety and well-being of ALL participants. 

All existing registrations from 2020 have been transferred to the new 2021 dates, no further action to transfer your registration to 2021 is required.

Registration for this event is open until 11.59pm on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. Late and/or Onsite Registration will NOT be available.

New Venue

We will now be hosting the LabMan 2021 conference at the historic Altria Theater. Located in the heart of Monroe Park, the Altria Theater is a Richmond landmark. To learn more about the Altria Theater, visit

Safety Precautions

To comply with university, state, and federal guidelines, we have taken precautions to ensure the safety of every participant by purchasing masks, hand sanitizer, and hand-wipes. We will also be promoting physical distancing in all areas of the venue and we've extended the time between session blocks to allow more time for hand-washing and restroom breaks. These measures combined are part of a "Safe but Social" effort to promote the health and well-being of all participants during their time at the conference.

Refunds and FAQs

Since we are rescheduling the conference, many of you are likely curious about whether refunds will be provided if you are unable to attend. The answer is yes! We will be able to provide a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee to off-set the costs charged to us by our registration provider and the cost of personal protective equipment already purchased. If you choose not to cancel, your registration will automatically transfer to the new conference dates in May 2021. For a full list of frequently asked questions, visit
